International College Portsmouth are delighted to announce that they have been chosen to host the prestigious 2010 Navitas UK Football World Cup.

The popular soccer tournament is an annual competition battled out between the UK’s six Navitas colleges and sees football-loving students from all over the world come together to compete for the famous trophy.

With its proud footballing history and a Premier League team boasting some of the world’s top international players, Portsmouth is the ideal location for the competition. The matches will take place just a short distance from the Portsmouth FC stadium and so those competing in the tournament may even have the opportunity to take in a Premier League clash.

Last years’ winners HIBT will be determined to defend their title but ICP are one of the favourites to take the crown. Managed by a top coach and with some excellent players from Nigeria, China, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong and Malaysia, competition for places in the squad is already hot and a new intake of students in February 2010 will undoubtedly bolster the ICP squad even further.
