ICP Law Students to Benefit from Courtroom Facilities

Students studying Law at ICP will now have the opportunity to practice in a full-size court following the opening of the University of Portsmouth’s very own mock courtroom.

The brand new development, situated on-campus, cost over £1 million to complete and is an exact replica of a UK crown court. In addition to a dock, public gallery and witness box, the state-of-the-art complex also comprises interview rooms and audiovisual facilities that allow court proceedings to be streamed live into adjacent classrooms.

The courtroom was officially opened earlier this month by His Honour Judge Price, Resident Judge of Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight, who said: “I am very impressed by the range and feel of this terrific new facility at the University. By bringing law to life using these facilities, Portsmouth students will have a head start in a law career which really is a significant opportunity.”

International students interested in studying Law can take advantage of ICP’s excellent International Foundation in Law, which provides exceptional teaching in small classes. This programme, which has been designed specifically for the needs of international students, provides guaranteed progression to a range of University of Portsmouth degree courses, including LLB (Hons) Law, LLB (Hons) Law and Criminology and LLB (Hons) Law and International Relations.

So if you are currently studying for IGCSEs, HKCEEs, an IB Certificate, a Thanawiya, an SSCE, an SSC (X), a Senior Middle 2 or any other High School qualification, your next step could be to begin an International Foundation in Law at ICP. You can start your studies in January, June or September and you can apply directly without using UCAS.
